Tamarind Margarita
I had my first Tamarind Margarita on our honeymoon and once I found it, it’s all I drank for a week straight. Don’t get me wrong, there’s not many drinks I’ll turn down, but I’m not a huge fan of ultra-sweet ones. I love this take on a margarita because it’s a little more subdued on the sweet side, but still packs the tang.
Here’s what you’ll need:
Tamarind Paste - 1/3 tsp (this is not exact, I eyeball it)
Sweet N Sour Mix - 4 oz (I linked my favorite low cal one)
Tequila - 2 oz
Lime - cut into 6ths
Combine the Tamarind paste, sweet n sour mix, tequila and juice from 1/6 lime into the shaker. Add a little crushed ice and shake it! Before you pour it into the glass, line the rim with whats left from the lime and dip in the Tajin seasoning. Add some more ice into the cup then pour your drink mixture over it! I throw the lime in there too.
You can play around with the sweet n sour mix vs tequila if you like a stronger or weaker drink. Sometimes I use 3 oz of tequila if I’m feeling SASSY.
Enjoy!
